OMG-Podcast: Healing The Pally Tank

Today, we talk to Faelong, a ret pally on the Antonidas server who doubles as a guild (and hubby) tank when needed.  He will tell us about the right way to heal the Pally Tank.  Just in case you didn’t know, over-healing can be bad for the pally tank.  Enjoy!

Top commenter, X, suggested I talk about why I chose to play a priest.  I am working on that, X.  Thanks for the suggestion. If any of you have any other ideas, let me know. 🙂

  1. How a class heals might be another great topic. I dont know if its the same for you but I see tons of other healers in my guild that rely on one or two spells as there means of healing. In looking at some logs I will see something like 80% healed from chain heal for shammies, flash of light 70% for pallies etc. Mine always seem to be consistantly balanced between renew, coh, PoM, flash heal, greater heal and usually Binding / PoH last. Now is this a case of the priest class being the “truest” healer in the game or a case of others not knowing how to play? I really cant say but I always find it interesting when looking at the logs.

I’ve always felt that tanks and healers are the core of raiding. If you have strong foundation success comes a bit easier 🙂
