Primordial Saronite + 2 Hilts

My alt, DanityKane the Death Knight, is serving her life purpose well.  Today, she bought Exanna’s first piece of Primordial Saronite.  Exanna in turn used it to purchase Pattern: Sandals of Consecration from The Ashen Verdict.  Now all I have to do is get all the Primordial Saronite together.  I am certain DanityKane will be more than willing to help out.  Can’t wait to get my new boots!!!  Legswill be next…  Both are BiS for holy priests although I am working on the four-set bonus with emblems so Danity will have to be hard at work to help Exxy out.

Papa's Gotta Brand New Hilt... two times!

Papa's gotta brand new hilt.. two times.. on the good foot! Heeeeey!

Hubby and I ran our mains and alts through the new ICC 5-mans yesterday.  Believe it or not, we saw The Battered Hilt drop twice in one day!  Two different runs but basically in the same area.  It was right outside the Bronjahm the Godfather of Souls encounter in the Forge of Souls.  Just kill all the trash you see!  It is possible to see it drop again and again.  We were all pretty impressed.  I think one guildie sold his.  The other completed the quest and got Quel’Delar, Lens of the Mind.  Both are very happy with their luck!

This is a short post as I am at work and about to head out on a story!  Until next time…

Happy Raiding!

Gearing My DK Alt To Help Out

Taking a cue from theWorld of Matticus article about Primordial Saronite, I have decided it’s time for my Death Knight, DanityKane, to bring more to the table.  Sure she herbs, makes flasks and transmutes gems, but it’s time for her to step up to the plate- IN PLATE- and help me get some Emblems of Frost Continue reading

Primordial Saronite, Emblems of Frost, and Best In Slot

I mentioned Primordial Saronite before in a few posts back in November.  The saronite is a key ingredient not only in Shadowmourne but also in all crafted patterns.  I figure I will need 15 total just to buy and make the patterns for Sandals of Consecration and Lightweave Leggings.  Then I would get another two saronite to purchase the DPS cloth patterns (Deathfrost Boots and Leggings of Woven Death) for gold-making purposes.

The good news is, like every other new orb, we will be able to buy the Primordial Saronite with Emblems of Frost, but the bad news?  As usual, it’s not cheap.  Continue reading

The Patch Fund, the Distribution of Primordial Saronite, and a Poll

Here, piggy, piggy, piggy!Running around with 81 Flasks of Frost Wyrm in my bags (you know, just in case I run out), I decided I would sell a few to go towards my “Patch Fund.”  They seem to be selling well.

It was hard to part with them though.  I mean, I should have joined the Horde because I “hoard” a lot of stuff.  I know, I know…  same sound, different meaning- almost homonymic but not quite.

My tailor hoards cloth for recipes.  My alchemist hoards raw gems just in case I get something new.  I used to keep abyss crystals at my disposal, but I finally decided to start selling them or making weapon enchants.  All for the “Patch Fund.”  Continue reading

Getting ready for Icecrown!

“Why does everyone automatically assume I know tailoring and cooking?”

I am that priest. In addition to tailoring and cooking, I also know fishing and enchanting. (I can also whip up a very strong Heavy Frostweave Bandage.) My DK alt, DanityKane, has taken up herbing and alchemy. She’s an elixir master.

I usually become fixated on two things right before a new patch drops:

  • Make as much cloth as possible
  • Make as much gold as possible
